Privacy Policy

This policy explains how InHouse Apparel USA inc ("SummerKini", "we") handles the personal information of people who visit summerkini.com, create an account or place an order. We collect only what we need to run the store, and we never sell your personal information.

What we collect

• When you order: your name, e-mail, shipping address and phone number, the pieces you buy and the order's totals. Payments are made through PayPal: we never see or store your card details.
• When you create an account: your name, e-mail and password (stored only as a secure hash), or the name and e-mail of your Google account if you continue with Google, plus the address you choose to save, your favorites and the language you shop in.
• When you write a review: your stars, text and any photos you add. The store shows only your first name and the initial of your last name. Photos are re-encoded, and the location data phones store in them is removed.
• When you ask us to: your e-mail, for a "back in stock" alert, and what you write to us.
• Technical information: like every website, our servers receive your IP address and browser details with each request. We use them to keep the store secure (for example, to slow down repeated failed attempts), never to build a profile of you.

How we use it

• To process, ship and support your orders, returns and gift cards, and to send you the e-mails about them.
• To run your account: sign-in, saved address, favorites and order history.
• To send reminders you can turn off at any time: a bag you left behind and pieces that are back in stock. Every one of these e-mails has an unsubscribe link.
• To publish your review, after our team reads it.
• To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet our legal and tax obligations.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use only what the store needs to work:

• a session cookie on the bag, checkout and account pages (it keeps you signed in and protects forms);
• sk_bag, the number of pieces in your bag, shown at the top of the pages;
• sk_favorites, your favorites while you are not signed in (kept for one year);
• your browser's local storage, to remember small choices on your device.

We don't use advertising or analytics cookies today. If we add them, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Who we share it with

Only with the services that help us run the store, and only what each one needs:

• PayPal, to process payments and refunds;
• Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES), to send our e-mails;
• DreamHost, which hosts the store and its database in the United States;
• Google, if you choose to continue with Google;
• the carriers that deliver your order (name, address and phone number).

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our customers and the store. We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Your account stays until you ask us to delete it. Reminder e-mails stop when you unsubscribe, and we keep your e-mail on a do-not-contact list so they don't start again.

Your choices and rights

You can see and update your name, address and password in your account, and turn off reminder e-mails with the link at the bottom of each one. You can also ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or send you a copy. Depending on where you live (for example, California and other US states), you may have additional rights; we honor these requests for every customer, and we will never treat you differently for making them.

To make a request, write to hello@summerkini.com from the e-mail address you use with us. We may ask you to confirm it is you before we act.

Security

Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, every page travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to customer information is limited to the team members who need it, with two-step sign-in and an activity log.

Children

The store is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and its date. For important changes, we will also tell you by e-mail or on the store.
